Housing Information and Resources
HOPWA: Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS
Assists all eligible HIV positive client households (except those receiving HUD/Section 8, or living in government subsidized housing) with expenses related to housing only. All clients must have proof of current or pending income, and must attend an orientation for HOPWA assistance. HOPWA operates an emergency financial assistance program to prevent homelessness or substandard living conditions. Strict eligibility criteria must be met to qualify.TBRA: Tenant Based Rental Assistance
A Sonoma County Housing Authority program providing short-term, temprorary subsidy until clients can get on regular HUD or Section 8. Spaces are subject to availability and drawn by lottery from a waiting list.Shelter + Care
A Sonoma County Housing Authority program for homeless clients. Subject to availability, and strict eligibility criteria.Housing Placement Assistance
