Ceramics have always played a major role in Maggie's creative life. She hand-builds vessels, wall plaques and figurative sculpture. Maggie’s other major outlets are collage, mixed-media, watercolor, jewelry, and monoprinting. She makes great use of “clay monoprinting,” a technique of printing on fabric with pigmented clay slip. The influence of Asia is very strong in her work, especially in her clay wall hangings, kimonos and clay monoprint fabric “scroll paintings.
