Cynthia was born in New York in 1948; but has lived in Sonoma California most of her life. She attended California College of Arts and Crafts where she took her first ceramics class and fell in love with clay. She moved to Sonoma and finished her education at Sonoma State University where she got a BA degree in Art. After graduating in 1970 she showed at an art festival at Provost Park in Berkeley where she made enough money with her art to buy her first kiln. She has been working continuously in clay ever since and is a long-time supporter of Art for Life.
