I have been working in art since I was a teenager. I started with ceramics at the De Young museum at 13. I continued with ceramics into college as well as glass blowing and eventually painting. I am retired now and always considered myself an “artist with a day job”. I now can do it full time. The AID’s crisis has always been near and dear to my heart. My best friend died early of AID’s as it hit NYC. I was living and training there and watched the city change with so many deaths of young vital men and women. My feelings always lean into the underserved around us and this group is especially vulnerable in today’s political climate.
