Did you know? California’s Good Samaritan law provides limited protection from arrest, charge, and prosecution for people who seek emergency medical assistance at the scene of a suspected drug overdose.
This means that both you and the person who overdosed are protected from low-level violations such as: being under the influence, possession for personal use, and/or possession of paraphernalia.
If you suspect an overdose, call 911! Give the person naloxone and rescue breaths—you can save a life!
At Face to Face, we provide Sonoma County with FREE naloxone, for overdose reversal. It’s available in our office and 24/7 vending machine in downtown Santa Rosa, as well as in our mobile van and naloxone vending machines throughout Sonoma County. Because when we lead with love, no one has to go it alone.
