Find the PrEP option for you! PrEP is a medication that HIV-negative people can take to reduce their chances of contracting HIV. It is available in both an oral form and in an injectable form.

The oral form is a once-a-day pill that can be taken by adults and adolescents who are HIV-negative. When taken as prescribed, it can reduce the risk of contracting HIV from sex and injection.

The injectable form is an injection given once every 2 or 6 months (depending upon type) and can be taken by adults and adolescents who are HIV-negative. When taken as prescribed, it can reduce the risk of contracting HIV from sex and injection. As a newer form of PrEP, the level of effectiveness for injection is still being studied.
