September 18th is HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day ❤️

Since the discovery of effective antiretroviral therapy (ART), people with HIV are living longer and healthier lives. However, as they age, people with HIV are at greater risk of developing chronic illnesses than people without HIV of similar age. And stigma and social isolation also increase the mental health needs of older adults living with HIV.

Supporting people aged 50 and over living with HIV requires an approach to care that centers fierce compassion and practical care, as well as community connection.

At Face to Face, we believe that everyone should have an opportunity to be the healthiest version of themselves. That’s why we offer comprehensive supportive services for people living with HIV, from housing and financial assistance to counseling to peer-to-peer support groups.
