Honoring Trans Day of Remembrance
Today, we pause to honor the lives lost to transphobic violence and recommit ourselves to building a world where everyone can live with safety, dignity, and pride. Trans Day of Remembrance is a solemn reminder of the work still needed to protect and uplift transgender and nonbinary communities.
In Sonoma County and beyond, our community partners are hosting events to honor trans lives today:
Santa Rosa Junior College – Queer Resource Center
Join a luncheon and writing workshop focused on transgender history and honoring those lost to violence.
Intercultural Center, Pioneer Hall, Santa Rosa Campus
1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Gather for an evening of reflection and solidarity.
California Theatre, Downtown Santa Rosa
6 PM – 9 PM
SF LGBT Center
Participate in a march from San Francisco City Hall to the SF LGBT Center or join via livestream.
Starting at SF City Hall
5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
At Face to Face, we stand in solidarity with our transgender and nonbinary siblings, reaffirming our commitment to providing inclusive, affirming care. Let’s continue to honor those we’ve lost by working for justice and equality in their memory.
Together, we build a community rooted in love and resilience
