Working in soft pastel, I am inspired both by the female form and the inner life of the model. I paint women large and uncommon— not perfect. Someone once said: "the purpose of art is NOT to 'reproduce' the visible but 'make' visible." What interests me is something innate and unseen. I strive to capture how women feel when no one is looking.
