I have always tried to capture the magic of nature in my paintings. This one is especially special because I had recently had a knee replacement surgery and it was the last oil painting I ever did. The process I use is extremely demanding in a physical way ; therefore I have had to abandon the technique altogether and settle for less rigorous mediums to achieve my goal of depicting wildlife in nature. Therefore, this is a special piece, in my mind, and holds its own as the last oil painting from my collection. I hope someone will appreciate the effort and the magic of this piece alone.
