These fully articulated non-bear-naries each have their own personality, as unique as they are. I am inspired by a person or the color and pattern of a hand-selected piece of fabric. The fabrics are then combined to meticulously complement the others. All non-bear-naries are made from repurposed drapery remnants or other fabric ends. As I begin to visualize the completed piece, the item's character and unique qualities become clearer and the item will "speak" to me. Because of their thoughtful construction, each bear can take 2 weeks to finish. I have only made about 15 non-bear-naries in the last several years. Each one is individually designed and created, happily hand-made and finished into this wonderful one and only creation! By the time the item is completed, I have developed a real fondness for it. I'm very happy to know they will go to a good home!
