Did you know? California’s Good Samaritan law provides limited protection from arrest, charge, and prosecution for people who seek emergency medical assistance at the scene of a suspected drug overdose.
This means that both you and the person who overdosed are protected from low-level violations such as: being under the influence, possession for personal use, and/or possession of paraphernalia.
If you suspect an overdose, call 911! Give the person naloxone and rescue breaths, you can save a life!
At Face to Face, we know that barriers to care can impact people’s individual health as well as the health of our community. That’s why we offer naloxone for free, in our office, mobile van, and 24/7 vending machines. Everyone has the power to save a life.
