No matter what form is used, naloxone:
- Works in 1 to 3 minutes
- Safe, non-addictive, easy to
- Effective for 30-90 minutes
- Should be used in conjunction with rescue breathing
More does not equal better with naloxone. If a person who uses often is given more naloxone than needed to reverse the OD, it can cause debilitating withdrawal symptoms. Wait 2-3 minutes between doses.
