August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day

This Overdose Awareness Day, we’d like to honor the lives of our Sonoma County community that have been lost to overdose. Each month in Sonoma County, an average of 12 people die of drug-related overdoses. With the increasing presence of fentanyl in the local supply, our community is in dire resources for prevention and support.

As a community health resource, Face to Face aims to give everyone the opportunity to be the healthiest version of themselves. As we tackle the opioid overdose crisis, we provide our community with free access to naloxone (Narcan), the opioid overdose reversal medication; fentanyl and xylazine test strips, to test for the presence of substances that can increase the risk of overdose; and other supplies and resources for safer use and overdose prevention.

When loving kindness meets practical care, no one has to go it alone.
