September 27th is National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.
Across the United States, gay and bisexual men continue to be disproportionately impacted by HIV, with 67% of new HIV diagnoses in 2022 occurring in gay and bisexual men.
Within this population, disparities persist, especially among Black and Latino gay and bisexual men and young men aged 13–24. Racism, discrimination, stigma, and the inaccessibility of testing and education resources all contribute to these disproportionate impacts.
At Face to Face, we know that barriers to care can impact people’s individual health and the health of our community. That’s why the services we offer to our community are free.
In our office and mobile van, we offer free HIV testing services. They are confidential, anonymous and available in both Spanish and English–and testing only takes 20 minutes!
For our clients living with HIV we offer non-medical case management services, housing advocacy, emergency financial assistance, linkage to community resources, and mental health counseling.
