This August 28 at 1 PM, Face to Face is hosting an Overdose Awareness Day Remembrance Event to honor and remember the lives lost to overdose in our community.

Each year, Sonoma County experiences an average of 121 accidental overdose deaths. Behind each number is a person who was loved, and a network of family, friends, and community members whose lives have been forever changed. This overdose awareness day, we’d like to create a space to honor those we have lost.

During the event, Face to Face will be hosting a community altar, where attendees are invited to bring photos, mementos, or other meaningful items in remembrance of their loved ones. Guests will also have the opportunity to add a loved one’s name to our memorial tree and share stories in their honor.

Free food and refreshments will be provided. And our office will remain open for our regular testing and prevention services, including access to free overdose prevention and reversal supplies.
