'Yes, and Still' by Santa Rosa artist Christie Marks is from the artist's 'Close to Home' collection. The works in this collection are melancholy, reflecting the artist's deep empathy for forgotten rural America. The prickly pear cactus depicted here is over 100 years old and stands in the courtyard of the San Francisco Mission Solano in Sonoma.
