Drawing inspiration from the visual tension between confinement and liberation, this linocut features a bird resting atop a barbed wire fence. The sharp, aggressive lines of the wire represent systemic boundaries and oppression, while the delicate form of the bird symbolizes the enduring human desire for freedom. Through the bold, unforgiving medium of linocut printmaking, the artwork serves as a quiet reminder that the spirit can soar, even when physically confronted with barriers. In short, my art is a dialogue with freedom: a meditation on its beauty, its fragility, and its enduring power to inspire change.
