I was completely burned out in the Woodridge Fire, 2022. My studio, stone carving shop, home & many sculptures were destroyed. I have moved into art that is not exactly predictable - painted on untreated metal panels. Colors change with the light. Details soften and disappear with the setting sun. As far as I know, very few artists are attempting to utilize this new platform....a surface that allows colors and reflected light to change throughout the day. A new addition to a collection that disturbs the normal. A new addition that changes each time the painting is viewed. The life of each day holds memories & secrets - as does this painting.
